S. Alexander Smith received his B.A. from Brown University in 2009, and is now a doctoral student at the University of Southern California. The recipient of fellowships from the NSF, Mellon Foundation, and the Huntington Library's Early Modern Studies Institute, he focuses on published execution narratives, sartorial extravagance, and court culture in early seventeenth century England.
