Stephanie Herold, MPH is an award-winning activist and social scientist with over a decade of experience in abortion care, abortion funds, and reproductive health advocacy. She currently works as a data analyst for the Abortion Onscreen program at Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health (ANSIRH). Steph has co-authored over half a dozen peer-reviewed papers focusing on the depiction of abortion on television, abortion stigma, and self-managed abortion. She is a sought-after expert on abortion research, appearing on the Melissa Harris-Perry Show and in TIME Magazine, and her writing has been featured in The Conversation, Glamour, The Hill, Romper, and Marie Claire, among others. Steph was a co-founder of the Sea Change Program, the first non-profit to focus entirely on reducing abortion stigma. Steph currently serves on the Board of Directors of All-Options, and previously served on numerous governing and advisory boards for Reproaction, the New York Abortion Access Fund, the International Network for the Reduction of Abortion Discrimination and Stigma, and ACCESS: Women’s Health Justice. Steph has a bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College, and a masters of public health from Columbia University.
