Paule Mackrous is an author, a curator and the editor in chief of the CIAC’ Electronic Magazine (International Center for Contemporary Art). She contributes to several contemporary art magazines and is a member of editorial board for Bleuorange, a hypermediatic literatures magazine. She is also a writer for Editions Art Mûr. She has a BA in Art History, an MA in Arts Studies, and is currently working on a PhD in Semiotics at the University of Québec in Montréal. Her research focuses on the presence effect of emerging art forms on the Web (hypermediatic arts, virtual worlds). She’s also interested in creative theory making, i.e. making art history with images, sounds, video and hypertext.
