Niels Niessen received his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Minnesota. His work has appeared in such venues as Cinema Journal, Screen, and Discourse. He is working on the book projects "The Miraculous Realism of the French-Walloon Cinéma du Nord" and "Online: Aesthetics and Experience."
