Megan's work spans public programming, education and academic research. At the University of New South Wales she was awarded the Best Doctoral Thesis Prize in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences for her PhD thesis titled Performing History, Troubling Reference: Tracking the Screen Re-enactment. She has presented and published her research in Australia and internationally and has taught film and media studies at the University of New South Wales and the University of Technology, Sydney. For four years, Megan programmed the annual Mardi Gras Film Festival and queerDOC film festival in Sydney, building partnerships with local and international distributors, filmmakers, festivals and community organisations. Currently Assistant Director, Academic Programs at NYU Sydney, Megan was previously the Education Projects Manager at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS).
