Lisa Spiro has published on a range of topics related to technology and higher education, including a study for the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) investigating "Can a New Research Library be All-Digital?" (with Geneva Henry), an exploration of collaboration in the digital humanities, and an essay imagining an open, networked certificate program for the digital humanities. She has also contributed essays to Debates in the Digital Humanities, #alt-academy: Alternate Academic Careers for Humanities Scholars, and The American Literature Scholar in the Digital Age. Lisa regularly presents or leads workshops on topics such as digital pedagogy, scholarly communications, and digital humanities. She was the founding editor of the Digital Research Tools (DiRT) wiki and authors the Digital Scholarship in the Humanities blog. A Frye Leadership Institute fellow, Lisa serves as the Communications Officer for the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations and on the Executive Council for the Association of Computers and the Humanities, as well as on the Program Committee for the Joint Conference on Digital Libraries. Lisa holds a B.A. in English and history (magna cum laude) from Rice University and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia.
