I am a third-year doctoral student in English at St. Johns University in Queens, NY, ABD as of spring 2014. I currently teach literature and composition at St Johns. I am interested in all questions about the teaching of writing, particularly the ways writing is changing in digital space. Object Oriented Rhetoric is something I'm trying to learn more about, as is coding. My dissertation research centers around a historiography of The Elements of Style in order to ask questions about how and why the teaching of academic writing continues to privilege a nostalgic preference for a monocultural stillness, quiet and order in discourse.
