Deane Williams is a film historian specialising in cultural networks, documentary film and Australian cinema. He is the author of ten monographs and edited collections, and of articles published in Screening the Past, Continuum, Media International Australia, Framework and Critical Arts.from 2007-2018 he was Foundation Editor of Studies in Documentary Film (ISSN 1750-3280 Print, 1750-3299 Online), the only international, refereed, scholarly journal dedicated to the history and criticism of documentary.
