I received a PhD in Comparative Literature with a Critical Theory Emphasis from the University of California, Irvine in 2012. My graduate work focused on notions of perception and violence in 20th century European literature and film. For two years I was the Associate Director of the Bruce Initaitive for Rethinking Capitalism at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
