Aleah Kiley is a PhD student in the Film and Media Studies at UC Santa Barbara. Her current work is focused on the formal, cultural, rhetorical, socio-political, and industrial tensions at work in the "indie games movement." She co-authored “Starlets, Subscribers and Beneficiaries: Disney, Latino Children and Television Labor” published in the International Journal of Communication and is a contributor to Jessica Jones, Scarred Superhero: Essays on Gender, Trauma and Addiction.
