A. L. Mishou is a PhD candidate at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Pursuing a dissertation examining the intersections of gender and performative villainy, her current research focuses on the fashioning of identity in Victorian novels and contemporary comics, with a special interest in the function of deviant fashion and bodies.
